At Waltham House, we understand it can sometimes be difficult to support elderly relatives who may have time consuming care needs. That’s why we have recently expanded our care provision to include private home support.

Our dedicated team of experienced care professionals are available to provide that extra helping hand.

So, whether your loved one needs someone to handle day-to-day tasks (e.g. cleaning, meal prep, caring for pets), someone to take them shopping or to GP appointments, or even just a friendly face to keep them company during the day – we can help!

Companionship

We know elderly people sometimes struggle with loneliness, especially if they live on their own. We also know it can be difficult to keep them company during the week while managing a 9-5 job. Our care professionals provide a comforting, friendly face for service users to chat to during the day. They can offer companionship at meal times, or just periodically over the course of the day.

We also try our best to assign a dedicated care professional to each of our service users, this way, your loved ones will get to know their carer and become familiar with them.

Household Support

Our staff are able to support with a wide range of day-to-day household activities that elderly service users may struggle with. This could be anything from cleaning (e.g. dusting, vacuuming, washing up) to preparing meals, to assisting them with doing the weekly food shop.

Our care professionals are there to offer a helping hand and allow your loved ones to maintain their independence while also ensuring their home doesn’t become cluttered or unsafe.

Respite Care

Waltham House also offers respite care so that caregivers like yourself can have a well deserved break. We aim to provide a comfortable home away from home for each of our residents; whether they live with us permanently, or are just staying on a short-term basis.

You can be sure that our staff will take excellent care of your loved one during their stay. We run regular activities for our residents and our kitchen staff make sure your loved one can enjoy delicious, home cooked meals during their stay.

Our home support provision starts at a minimum of one hour and can be tailored to your individual needs. Our regular hours are 8:00am – 6:00pm with availability over the bank holiday and bank holidays.
